1. About these terms
These terms cover your use of https://p.cafe, the account dashboard and the private npm registry, and your purchase and use of PCafe Pro. The site and services are run by PCafe (“we”, “us”), based in Hong Kong, China. By using the site or buying Pro, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian’s consent. If you accept these terms for a company or organisation, you must be authorised to act for it.
The seller of record (Merchant of Record) for paid products is Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments handles payment, tax and invoices, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
2. Open-source edition
The PCafe engine, the current templates and styles, the command-line tool, the writing rules and the docs are released under the MIT License and can be used in personal and commercial projects. The MIT License governs the open-source edition; anything in these terms that conflicts with it does not apply to the open-source edition. Third-party assets such as fonts and icons are used under their own licences, listed in the repository’s third-party notices.
3. Accounts and access tokens
- Register with a real email address you control. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Pro is installed from a private npm registry using an access token you create on the account page. The token is for your use only. Do not publish or share it, or put it in files that get committed to a code repository.
- If a token leaks, revoke it on the account page and create a new one. If we find a token being shared or abused, we may revoke it, limit access or suspend the licence.
4. Pro plans and prices

- Prices are in US dollars. Dodo Payments calculates and shows any tax for your location at checkout.
- The early-bird price applies until May 1, 2027. New orders after that are charged the regular price.
- Founder lifetime is limited to 200 licences in total and ends when they sell out.
- Pro releases available to you can be used and reinstalled for as long as your licence is in good standing (not revoked or suspended).
5. Automatic renewal and cancellation
- Pro yearly renews automatically at the end of each year. Early-bird subscriptions renew at the regular price of $59.99/year. Your next renewal date and amount are shown on the account page.
- You can cancel at any time on the account page, or by emailing support@p.cafe. After you cancel, the subscription does not renew and keeps working until the end of the current period.
- The account page links to the Dodo Payments customer portal, where you can see billing history, download invoices and update your payment method.
- After the subscription ends, you can still install and use Pro releases published before it ended, but you do not get later releases.
- If we change the regular price, we will email existing subscribers at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The change applies only to renewals after that date.
6. Pro commercial licence
When you buy Pro, you get a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence, as follows.
You may:
- use Pro templates in your own projects and in projects you make for clients, including commercial projects, with no limit on the number of projects;
- change the content and styling of Pro templates;
- send, publish or deliver to anyone the presentations you build with Pro templates (finished output such as exported HTML, PDF, video and images).
You may not:
- redistribute, sell, rent or publish the Pro packages themselves (npm packages, tarballs, compiled JS/CSS, type files), including in public code repositories;
- resell or give away Pro templates as templates, themes, template libraries, asset packs or similar products, whether or not you modify them;
- use Pro templates to build a product or service that lets third parties generate their own content (for example, an online presentation builder);
- share your account or access token with anyone.
Seats: one licence is for one person. Each team member who installs and uses Pro needs their own licence.
7. Access control and revocation
- Access control only affects future downloads. Files already downloaded and presentations already exported cannot be recalled remotely. Exported HTML does not contact a licence server, has no remote activation and sends no data back.
- We revoke or suspend the licence, and your token can no longer install Pro, in these cases: a full refund; a chargeback (suspended while it is open, then restored or revoked depending on the outcome); a breach of these terms.
- When a licence is revoked for a refund, chargeback or breach, it ends: you must not use Pro in new work and should delete the Pro packages you downloaded. Finished work delivered to third parties before the revocation is not affected.
8. Disclaimer
The open-source edition is provided “as is” under the MIT License. We work to keep Pro and the site available, but we do not promise they will be uninterrupted or error-free. You, or the AI tools you use, write the content of your presentations, and you are responsible for its accuracy and legality. The QA checks that come with templates check layout, not facts.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability relating to Pro is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. This section does not limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Changes to the service
We may update, change or stop parts of the site and services. If we stop offering Pro, we will email you at least 30 days in advance. Founder lifetime customers, and yearly customers still in a paid period, can keep using the Pro releases already published, and we will provide a way to download them before we stop.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. We will first try to resolve any dispute informally; if that fails, the courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have jurisdiction. This does not take away mandatory consumer protections given by the law where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms and will update the date on this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email or on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the services after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
